Hook Writer

Ten ranked openers for one video, each under twelve spoken words, built from your voice rules rather than internet averages.

Reads your operating system before it starts. Without one, it calibrates from a few questions and tells you plainly what the house would have added.

The task

You are filming a short video about your product tomorrow and need the first three seconds: the line that stops the scroll.

By hand

You open the notes app and stare. Forty minutes later there are six openers, and four of them start with the product name or 'Did you know', which is exactly what everyone scrolls past. You can't tell which of the survivors is strongest, so you pick the one you're least embarrassed by.

Worse, one of them makes a claim you'd struggle to stand behind if a customer pushed back. Nobody checked, because there was nobody to check.

Three answers

The topic, the platform, and one true feature-worthy fact. If your operating system is installed, it already knows your voice, banned words and settled claims; if not, five calibration questions stand in.

  • QThe topic or product for this batch
  • QThe platform (or leave it platform-agnostic)
  • QOne true, specific thing worth featuring, verified by you
II

The ship gate

Every candidate is tested before you see it: word counts checked, weak openers killed, claims traced to what you actually verified.

  • Every hook is twelve spoken words or fewer, counted
  • No hook opens with the company name or 'Did you know'
  • No invented facts: every number or claim was supplied or verified by you
  • At least four distinct hook mechanisms across the ten
III

The deliverable

Ten survivors, ranked by stopping power for your audience, each with the mechanism named and a one-line reason. Plus the one to film first.

Sample output

What the deliverable looks like, on a neutral example.
